Shapes give a slide structure: boxes, circles, arrows and speech bubbles. Any shape can also hold a picture, cut to its outline.
Steps
- Open Insert → Shapes and click a shape, or press Shift+R for a rectangle and Shift+O for a circle.
- With the shape selected, use Fill colour, Border colour, Border style and width and Corner radius.
- To put a picture inside, click Fill colour, open the Picture tab and choose Upload, Gallery or Generate.
- Adjust Zoom, Across and Down to place the picture in the shape.
- Change shape swaps the shape and keeps its colours and text.
Good to know
- Free-form shapes of an opened PowerPoint file or an Ultra reference are kept with their own outline, and so are pictures cut to them.
- They are drawn the same in the editor, the PDF and the PowerPoint export.
- Choosing a shape in Change shape or Crop to shape replaces a free-form outline.
- Double-click a shape with a label to type in it.
