Edit slides by asking the AI

Type what you want under the slide: the AI changes this slide, chosen slides or the whole deck.

The prompt bar under the slide changes slides from a sentence: "make this shorter", "add a chart of these figures", "rewrite it for investors".

Steps

  1. 1Choose what the AI works on: Deck for the whole presentation, Slide for the slide on screen.
  2. 2To change only some slides, select them in the rail with ⌘-click or Shift-click. A chip appears for each.
  3. 3Type your request into the field, for example Ask the AI to change this slide.
  4. 4Click Apply or press Enter. The request appears as a row under the field while it runs.
  5. 5Not happy? Click Undo in the request's row, or press ⌘Z.

Credits: A request costs 1 credit, with files attached 2 credits. On Deck, a change to many slides says what it will cost before it starts.

Good to know

  • Simple commands such as "make the background blue" are carried out at once by the editor itself.
  • Upload attaches up to ten files to a request; Web lets the AI search the web (Pro and Business).
  • Select an element and press R to make it the AI's target: the request then changes that element.

FAQ

Can I keep working while the AI is busy?

Yes. The slide stays editable; when the AI's change arrives, it is merged with what you did.
