Terms of Service
Last updated 22 October 2026
These Terms apply to every use of ExpertSlides. Please read them before you create an account or buy a plan.
1. Who we are and what these Terms cover
ExpertSlides (the website and the app at expertslides.com) is provided by ES Solutions GmbH, Barbarossastraße 61, 63571 Gelnhausen, Germany ("we", "us"). These Terms are the contract between us and you, the person or company using ExpertSlides. They apply to consumers and to businesses; where a rule applies only to one of them, it says so.
Terms of your own do not apply, even if we do not object to them. The contract language is English. We store the text of the contract: these Terms are always available on this page, and the plan you bought is shown in your account and on your invoices.
2. The service
ExpertSlides is an AI presentation maker: it creates presentations from a topic, a prompt or your documents, lets you edit them in the browser, store them in your account, share them and export them (for example as PowerPoint or PDF). What each plan includes is described on the pricing page; what you may do with the result is described on the licensing page. Both are part of these Terms.
The AI features use models of third parties (see the Privacy Policy). We may develop the service further, replace models and change or remove individual features, as long as the main functions of your plan stay available. A change that is more than minor and affects you adversely is announced at least 30 days ahead; if you are a consumer on a paid plan, you may then end the contract free of charge as the law provides (§ 327r BGB).
3. Your account
To use ExpertSlides you need an account. You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of your legal guardian, and give true information. An account is for one person; a Business account may add team members up to the seats it pays for.
Keep your password secret and tell us at once if you think someone else uses your account. You are responsible for what is done with your account unless you are not at fault.
The contract for the Free plan is concluded when you create your account. The contract for a paid plan is concluded when you complete the payment in Stripe's Checkout; before that, you can review and correct your choices there.
4. Plans, credits and limits
AI requests cost credits: building a slide, an instruction to the AI, a Magic Fix, an image. What each costs is listed on the pricing page. Every plan receives credits each calendar month (UTC): Free 10 (once your email address is confirmed, and for one Free account per person), Pro 250, Business 600. Credits of a month that are not used expire at its end; credits earned as a reward are valid for 90 days.
Credits have no cash value, cannot be bought separately, transferred or paid out, and expire when the account ends. The limits of each plan (presentations, slides, images, brand kits, requests a day) are shown on the pricing page and in the app; they protect the service for everybody.
5. Prices and payment
Paid plans are subscriptions, billed in advance for a month or a year: Pro: $29 a month or $290 a year; Business: $49 a month or $490 a year, each per seat. A year costs 10 months.
The prices are in US dollars and do not include VAT or other taxes; the taxes that apply where you live are calculated and shown in Checkout, with the total, before you pay. Payment is processed by Stripe; we never see your card details. Invoices are sent by email and are available in your account under Plan & Billing.
If a payment fails, Stripe tries again for a while; if it still fails, the subscription ends and the account returns to the Free plan.
6. Renewal, cancellation and price changes
A subscription renews automatically for the same period unless it is cancelled. You can cancel at any time under Plan & Billing → Manage billing, or by email to [email protected]; the plan stays until the end of the period already paid, then the account returns to Free. A period that has begun is not refunded, except where the law requires it.
For consumers: once an annual subscription has run for its first year, it continues for an indefinite period and you can end it at any time with one month's notice (§ 309 no. 9 BGB); we refund what you paid for the time after it ends.
We may change the price of a plan for the future, for example when our own costs change. We tell you by email at least 30 days before the new price applies to your next period; you can cancel before it does. Changing to another plan takes effect as Stripe's portal shows it.
7. Right of withdrawal for consumers
If you are a consumer (someone who buys mainly for private purposes), you have the following right of withdrawal.
Right of withdrawal. You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period expires 14 days from the day the contract is concluded. To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us (ES Solutions GmbH, Barbarossastraße 61, 63571 Gelnhausen, Germany, email [email protected]) of your decision by a clear statement (for example an email or a letter). You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient that you send your communication before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal. If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision. We will use the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; you will not incur any fees as a result. If you requested that the service begins during the withdrawal period, you shall pay us an amount which is in proportion to what has been provided until you informed us of your withdrawal, compared with the full coverage of the contract.
Early expiry. Before Checkout we ask: "I agree that ExpertSlides starts at once and I lose my right of withdrawal." With this consent the service begins at once, and your right of withdrawal expires as the law provides — for digital content once we have begun providing it (§ 356 (5) BGB), for a service once it has been provided in full (§ 356 (4) BGB). We confirm the contract and your consent on a durable medium (by email).
Model withdrawal form. (Complete and return this form only if you wish to withdraw from the contract.)

8. Your content
What you type, upload or create — texts, documents, pictures, logos, fonts, presentations, brand kits — remains yours. You give us the right to store, copy, process and display it, and to send it to the AI providers we use, only as far as is needed to provide ExpertSlides to you and to the people you share it with. This right ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must keep by law and backups that are overwritten in their normal cycle.
If you use ExpertSlides as a business and your content holds personal data for which you are the controller, we process that data on your behalf; the data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is part of these Terms and can be requested at [email protected].
You may upload only content you are allowed to use, and you are responsible for it. Do not upload content that is unlawful or infringes the rights of others (copyright, trademarks, personal rights, trade secrets), and do not enter sensitive personal data of others into an AI request unless you are allowed to. A presentation you share by web link can be seen by anyone who has the link.
9. AI-generated content
Texts, slides and images made with AI are created automatically by models of third parties. They may be incomplete, wrong, outdated, or similar to content made for others, and we do not check them. They are no advice. Check every result before you use it; you decide how you use it and are responsible for that use.
Subject to these Terms, you may use what ExpertSlides makes for you as the licence of your plan allows. We do not guarantee that AI-generated content is protected by copyright or free of the rights of others.
10. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use ExpertSlides for anything unlawful, deceptive, hateful or harmful, or to create content that infringes the rights of others;
- try to get around the limits of a plan, for example with several accounts, scripts or automated requests outside the features we offer;
- attack, overload, probe or reverse-engineer the service, or access data that is not yours;
- resell or give others access to ExpertSlides, except team members of a Business account.
If you break these rules we may block content or requests, and suspend or end your account; we take your interests into account and, where reasonable, warn you first.
11. Availability
We work to keep ExpertSlides available at all times, but we cannot guarantee it. Maintenance, updates, the AI providers' outages and events beyond our control may interrupt it. Keep your own copies of important presentations (for example by exporting them).
12. Defects
If you are a consumer, the statutory rights for digital products apply (§§ 327 ff. BGB): we provide ExpertSlides free of defects and with the updates needed to keep it so during the contract.
If you are a business, report a defect to us without delay with a description that lets us reproduce it; we remedy it within a reasonable time. Claims for defects expire one year after they arise, except for claims for damages, which are governed by section 13.
13. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the Product Liability Act, and where we have given a guarantee.
For slight negligence we are liable only if we breach an obligation that is essential for the contract and on which you may regularly rely (a cardinal obligation), and then only for the damage that is typical and foreseeable for this kind of contract. Otherwise our liability for slight negligence is excluded.
On the Free plan, which is provided without payment, we are liable only for intent and gross negligence, except for injury to life, body or health. These limits also apply to our employees and agents.
14. Ending the contract
You can end the contract at any time by deleting your account under Account; a paid subscription is cancelled with it, and for a consumer section 6 applies to what was paid. We may end a Free account with 30 days' notice by email, and any account without notice for good cause, in particular a serious breach of these Terms. When an account ends, its presentations, files and brand kits are deleted; export what you want to keep before.
15. Law, venue and disputes
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer in the EU, the mandatory consumer protection of the country you live in remains unaffected (Art. 6 (2) Rome I Regulation).
If you are a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law, the courts at our registered office have exclusive jurisdiction.
We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (§ 36 VSBG).
16. Changes to these Terms
We may change these Terms for the future where there is a valid reason, such as a change in the law or in the service. We send you the new Terms by email at least 30 days before they apply. Changes to the main obligations — what a plan includes and its price — need your consent; for other changes, if you do not object within that time, the new Terms apply, and we remind you of this in the email. If you object, either of us may end the contract.
If a clause of these Terms is invalid, the rest remains valid.
