What an AI presentation maker is

An AI presentation maker turns a description — or a document you already have — into a finished slide deck: the outline, the words on every slide, the layout, the charts and the pictures. Instead of opening an empty template and filling it box by box, you say what the presentation is for and who will see it, and the first complete version arrives in about a minute.

That first version is where the work starts, not where it ends. A good presentation maker hands you slides you can change freely — by hand, like in PowerPoint, or by telling the AI what to change. ExpertSlides is built for exactly that: every element on every slide stays a real, editable element, and the deck leaves as a PowerPoint file or a PDF when you are done.

What happens when you press Create Slides

The AI first plans the deck: the story from the opening to the close, how many slides it needs and what each one has to say. Then it writes every slide and chooses, for each, a layout of your design that fits its content — a comparison gets a comparison layout, a process gets steps, figures get a chart. Pictures are generated or placed where a slide asks for one, and the slides arrive in the editor one after another while the rest are still being written.

What an AI-powered presentation maker does for you

A presentation maker that writes as well as it designs: the outline, the words and the layout come from one request.

From a single prompt

Write a sentence about what the deck is for and who it is for. The AI plans the story, writes each slide and picks a layout that fits its content.

From your own material

Upload a PDF, a Word document, a spreadsheet or pictures. The deck is built from what is in them — nothing invented to fill a slide.

In a design that holds

Every slide follows one design: type, colours, spacing and pictures stay consistent from the title to the last slide.

Editable to the last word

Change a headline, move a chart or ask the AI to rewrite a slide. Nothing is a flat picture of a slide.

Magic Fix

Moved things around and the slide looks untidy? Magic Fix sets its elements back into a clean layout without touching the content.

Present anywhere

Present from the browser with a presenter view and an audience window, share a read-only web link, or export the file.

How to make a presentation with AI

Six steps from an idea to a deck you can present. The first draft takes 60 to 90 seconds for ten slides.

  1. Type your topic into the prompt

Say what the presentation is about, who it is for and what they should take away: “A 10-slide introduction to our new expense policy for all employees, friendly and clear.” The more of the purpose you name, the better the story fits.

The prompt: the topic, the audience and the goal in one or two sentences.
  2. Attach what the deck should be built from

Use Upload to add a PDF, a Word document, a CSV file or pictures. The AI reads them and writes the slides from their content; figures in a spreadsheet become charts.

Attached files are read for their content, not copied page by page.
  3. Set the number of slides and the settings

Choose the slide count beside the prompt. In Settings you set the AI level, the language, how closely your text is kept, the audience and whether pictures are generated. On Free a deck has up to 5 slides; Pro and Business make decks of as many slides as you choose.

Slide Settings: AI level, language, text handling, audience and pictures.
  4. Pick a design and a colour style

Choose one of the designs on Home or on Design Templates and one of its colour styles. With a brand kit, pick your kit instead and the deck is made in your colours, fonts and logo.

The gallery: each design in several colour styles.
  5. Press Create Slides and watch the deck arrive

The editor opens and the slides come in one by one. You can start reading — and editing — the first slides while the last ones are still being written.

The editor fills slide by slide.
  6. Refine, then present or export

Click any element to change it, or type an instruction such as “make the headline shorter” or “add a chart of Q3 revenue”. When it is right, present from the browser or export. Download an editable PowerPoint file on Pro and Business. Every plan exports PDF; on Free a PDF carries the ExpertSlides mark.

    Edit by asking, then export.

A short walkthrough of a deck made from a prompt.

Designs your deck is made in

Each design is a complete set of slide layouts — title, agenda, comparisons, charts, timelines, quotes and more.

What people make with it

The same presentation maker for very different rooms. Name the audience and the tone in the prompt — or in Slide Settings — and the deck is written for them.

Managers and teams

Quarterly reviews, project updates and strategy papers written from your notes and numbers, in the same structure every time.

Sales and marketing

A sales deck for one customer, a campaign plan, a product launch — in minutes, ready to adjust for the next account.

Founders

Pitch decks, investor updates and board meetings, with the traction chart built from your own figures.

Teachers and trainers

Lessons, workshops and onboarding sessions made from your handouts, clear enough to read from the back row.

Students and researchers

Seminar talks and thesis defences from your paper or notes — the structure and the key findings, not every sentence.

Consultants and agencies

Client-ready decks in the client’s brand: brand kits on Pro and Business carry colours, fonts and logo onto every new deck.

More than a free AI presentation maker

Start free — no credit card required. The paid plans add what people who present every week need.

PowerPoint and PDF

Download an editable PowerPoint file on Pro and Business. Every plan exports PDF; on Free a PDF carries the ExpertSlides mark.

Your brand

Brand kits on Pro and Business put your colours, fonts and logo on every new deck — read from a PowerPoint file, a PDF or your website.

Research from the web

On Pro and Business the AI can look up current facts and figures while it writes.

Working together

On Business a team shares folders and presentations and edits them together, live.

How to judge the best AI presentation maker

Every AI presentation generator looks good in its own demo. The useful test is your own topic: make the same deck in the tools you are considering and compare what you would actually present. Four questions decide it.

Can you trust the content?

A deck built from your document should say what your document says. Check whether figures are carried over or invented, and whether the slides keep to your material when you ask them to.

Does the design hold across the deck?

One good title slide is easy. Look at slide eight: are fonts, colours and spacing still consistent, and does each slide get a layout that suits its content?

How easy is it to change?

You will change things. Can you edit text in place, move elements freely, ask for a change in plain words — and get a tidy slide back afterwards?

Where does the deck end up?

If the deck goes on in PowerPoint, Google Slides or to a client, look at the exported file: editable text and native charts, or pictures of slides.

Tips for the best AI presentation

  • Name the audience: “for the board”, “for first-year students” or “for a customer who has never heard of us” changes every slide.
  • Say what the deck should achieve — a decision, a sale, an understanding — and the story is built towards it.
  • Attach the numbers you want shown — a chart built from your own figures is one you can stand behind.
  • List the points that must appear; the AI builds the deck around them.
  • Start shorter than you think. Adding a slide in the editor takes one sentence.
  • Read the headlines alone from start to finish before you present: they should tell the story by themselves.

Questions, answered

Is the AI presentation maker free?

Yes, you can start on the Free plan without a credit card and make your first decks. Download an editable PowerPoint file on Pro and Business. Every plan exports PDF; on Free a PDF carries the ExpertSlides mark.

How long does a deck take?

A ten-slide presentation is usually ready in 60 to 90 seconds. Decks with web research or long documents take a little longer.

How many slides can a deck have?

You set the number before the deck is made, or leave it on Auto. On Free a deck has up to 5 slides; Pro and Business make decks of as many slides as you choose.

Can I edit what the AI made?

Every text, picture, chart and shape is an element of the editor. You can change it by hand or tell the AI what to change.

What makes the best AI presentation maker?

Content you can trust, a design that stays consistent and a file you can keep working on. Judge any tool by the deck it hands you, not the demo.

Which languages does it write in?

A deck is written in the language of your prompt, or in the one you choose in Slide Settings — one language throughout.

Can I use my own PowerPoint files?

Yes. Open a .pptx file in the editor and it becomes a presentation you can change with AI, then export again.
